Frequently Asked Questions

FAQs about Services

  • Jen is a concierge, out-of-network, provider meaning that she does not directly bill insurance. The benefit of not billing insurance directly is that 100% of your visit is devoted to your individualized needs and not dictated by insurance parameters, authorization forms or what codes/ services they will cover. She can work to correct the full body (and get to the root of the dysfunction) without being isolated to one body part. Since your session is 1:1 and devoted specifically to you, she rarely sees patients for more than 6 visits.

Jen will gladly send you super bills after your physical therapy treatment for you to submit to your insurance company. You will want to call the number on the back of your insurance card to ask what your out-of-network coverage is for physical therapy and how you submit for reimbursement. Some insurances are simple and have an online process or fax, while others have forms. There are no hidden costs and payment is due at time of service. FSA/HSA cards are also accepted.

  • In the state of Missouri, we do not need a physician referral for the initial physical therapy visit. If subsequent physical therapy visits are required, we will fax a prescription with a detailed evaluation to a provider of your choice.

If we are seeing you for bike fitting, wellness/ injury prevention, performance or environmental coaching- no physician referral is required.

  • We schedule bike fits for 2 hours- typically new fits fall between 60-120 minutes. If we diagnose that you need a different stem, we carry Ritchey WCS, black that are $135. You can always purchase one through your local bike shop or online. I typically ask that you remove any mounts on the handlebars ahead of time to expedite the process.

We will send follow up forms, appointment reminder, location, etc… via email through the system, Jane. You will want to bring the following items with you:

    1) bike

    2) bike shoes

    3) any insoles you’ve used

    4) any spare stems or saddles

    5) chamois (bike shorts)

    6) top comfortable to sweat in (you will likely have to work a little as we dial in)

    7) water/ water bottle (I have some if you forget)

  • We can ask your provider to order specific labs or I can assist and order specific tests and test kits through Great Plains Laboratory, Vibrant America/ Vibrant Wellness or Envirobiomics.

What Patients Are Saying…

Jen, just want to thank you for everything you have done for me the past few months. I know the focus hasn’t been weight loss, but I am confident the PT program has contributed by keeping me moving, building strength and most importantly getting me back on the soccer field.
The prickly feelings in my body have improved. I was pretty excited about my sleep this week getting in a good 4-6 hour straight... Good news- I really sweat it out in the sauna today- even from my calves! And minimal achiness the past few days!!!

I am feeling great after 4 sessions and back on the horse. I finally feel like my body is aligning and I can feel my core engage for the first time in years.
Jen is an amazing physical therapist. I have been going to see her for bike fits for a number of years now, and I trust her completely with each and every bike I get!
I have accessed her services for a variety of injuries as well, from shoulder to hamstring issues and I could not ask for a better physical therapist. She is caring, understanding and has an extensive knowledge of the human body!
